Biography

I was born into a family of lawyers, but I have always been more attracted to scientific subjects. In medicine and in particular in surgery I have found my way and my realization with the aim of helping people. The new technologies applied to surgery, the minimally invasive and the teaching of robotic surgery represent my passion and my field of application.

Since 2025, Dr. Stefano Puliatti has been Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). He is a surgeon with advanced experience in the treatment of oncological and reconstructive urological conditions using minimally invasive, laser, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted techniques.

2023

National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in Urology in the Competition Sector 06/E2 – PLASTIC-RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY, PEDIATRIC SURGERY, AND UROLOGY.

2019-2025

Dr. Stefano Puliatti holds the position of University Researcher in Urology.

2019-2021

Dr. Puliatti served as Medical Director of Orsi Academy, Melle, Belgium. Orsi Academy is considered the world’s leading robotic surgery training center.

Medical activity

I became a Urologist at the University Hospital of Modena. I learned a lot during the 5 years of specialization. I learned the management of the urological patient in the ward, endourology and in particular I had the opportunity to immediately apply myself to minimally invasive robotic surgery.

ROBOTIC SURGERY

Obtained the role of Deputy Medical Director at Orsi Academy, Melle, Belgium, and worked for 2 and half years at the OLV hospital in Aalst with Professor ALex Mottrie, considered one of the best robotic surgeons in the world

UROLOGY

In summer 2021 I returned to carry out my activity in Modena at the University Hospital of Modena and at various private surgical clinics in the area.

RESEARCH

I do research activities mainly in the field of minimally invasive surgery, new technologies applied to surgery, training of surgeons in robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
