Abstract
As of the 11th of March, the world health organization (WHO) declared Coronavirus disease‐2019 (COVID‐19) as a pandemic disease caused by SARS‐CoV‐2 (previously known as 2019‐nCOV) (1,2). By the 19th of April, 2,241,778 confirmed patients were reported worldwide with 152,552 COVID‐19 related deaths (3). The COVID‐19 pandemic represents the most serious health crisis facing the modern world resulting in unprecedented efforts to contain this pandemic and its consequences (1).
